Marketing Competition Part 2: In Kyoto

After long preparation for the marketing competition,
(read previous post)
we left Tokyo and took a train and bus ride to Kyoto/Kobe/Osaka, a region called "Kansai".

This is the toilet we used in the bus.

We arrived to Kyoto Station at 6am in the morning.
We planned to tour around Kyoto before we head to my grandma's place.

Our breakfast.

Kyoto started to light up at 7am.

This is how Kyoto Tower looks, first thing in the morning.

Marketing Competition Part 1: Preparing in Tokyo

This is a heart light up on tokyo tower and I ended up seeing this almost everyday because I was always at school very late for the past few days before this marketing competition.

The days consisted of sleepless nights and lots of food outside.

--------------

To start off we have Origin Bentou.
It's a bentou shop that sells bunch of homemade looking/tasting food.
It's very cheap $4-$10. And they have lots of variations.

This is the food samples we can pick from.

This is the self-serve food corner.

BUSY BUSY BUSY

First of all I will like to apologize for my late late posts.

1st excuse: I had a business contest I had to participate.

2nd excuse: It was christmas

3rd excuse: My zemi had lots of events

4th excuse: I was addicted to tv and got very lazy.

Lunar Eclipse

I am not sure if they had lunar eclipse in Canada but a week and a half ago people in Japan got to see lunar eclipse. So few of my zemi senpai (older ppl) and zemi ppl went out at 10pm to Tama river station to take some pictures of the eclipse.

Above is probably the only decent picture I took for the whole night as I didn't have a tripod to support my camera. I am seriously considering to get one in Japan though because I cant take any non blurry pictures at night with out a tripod.

This is a nice picture my senpai took.

Hiyoshi Neighbourhood 2: Hiyoshi Park

Last time I tried to go up this little mountain/hill in Hiyoshi but I failed to do so.
So this time i tried going up from behind the hill.
I also has a tangerine in my hand, so I can eat it when I am up on the top of the hill.

I first ran in to Yagami river. I didn't know that it was so close to where I live.

Some fruits.

And then I finally found these stairs!!!

Zemi Fun: Presentations

The zemi I am in is always pretty active.
While some people are presenting in Osaka, our teacher is in the States joining a conference.
And this time was one of the 3rd year groups presenting their research in front of other zemis in Keio.
I honestly have to say our groups presentation was the best.
Each zemi has its level of intensity. Some zemi is more strict than others.
And I think I chose one of the more hard working zemi in Keio.

Don't mistaken me though. It's really good.
While my time here is limited I am happy to join a zemi that stimulates me.

View from the room. This is Hiyoshi, where I live.

If some of you guys remember from my previous post.
I am part of a marketing team within the zemi and we are presenting this sat in Kobe.
Kobe is pretty far (10 hour bus ride)
so I am super exited to go have fun both presenting and touring around.

And our zemi isn't some bunch of nerds that work all the time.
We also have fun too.

Me playing volleyball in Japan.

One day I was coming back from school and my friend tweeted that she was going to go join the volleyball practice a Keio circle was hosting.
I asked if I can join and they kindly accepted me to their practice.

But as some of my friends know I am not so good at playing sports.
And I am the worst when it comes to volleyball Haha.

This is the gym we got to use. It was approx 20 min away from my station.

My dad came to tokyo

My dad has come to Tokyo for work and we met up!
He came all the way where I live to see what kind of environment I live in.
He gave me few canadian goods, ate lunch, walked quite a bit and left.
It was a short time but it was fun to see my family member.

First Tully's. Never bought it because I'm not a coffee person (my dad is).

After walking around hiyoshi for a bit we went to Oote machi station to walk to Tokyo Station to eat lunch with our family friend.

Ebina : Somewhere far away from tokyo

I decided to visit my friend one day that lives very far away from tokyo.
It took longer than l thought but I enjoyed riding on the train by myself and walking around places where there are no tall buildings and young girls and boys :)

Of corse I mostly enjoyed seeing my friend!

btw the picture above: I had same colour skirt as the seat lol

First: Below is the youtube video to Ebina station that I filmed

It's just Shibuya

Shibuya has now become my backyard.
Just kidding!
But it is the place I visit the most.
I always forget to bring my DSLR when I go to shibuya though but I remembered this time!
Take a look of how the heart of Japan looks like

  First picture is...

Actual ad created by cloth.

The whole train was GAPPED.

We are now in shibuya.

Ikea with a Swede

My first ikea experience in Japan was with a good friend of mine.
She was a swede and made my journey to there and the time at Ikea a lot of fun!

So we first took a free shuttle bus starting from Den-en Choufu.
And because we got to this stop like half past 6, noone was in line.

The bus was pretty empty as well.
And they had mini seats like this in between the big seats. (We opened it for no particular reason)
