Outdoor Adventure in Nagano Prefecture: Part 2!

Our breakfast at Morikura was a wonderful one, thanks to our wonderful friend who is super duper good at cooking. We had some tomato soup with sausages and veggies with toast and omelet with cheese. I haven't had such an amazing breakfast in such a long time.

We can't forget about the coffee either!

We also set this up for the dinner we were going to have later.

The kids ski and sleighed around the area.

After having a little morning break we were ready to head to the big mountain.

Going down the mountain we were staying at with the motor ski.

As I have said in the last post this is homemade sleigh! And it's made out of ski.

We split off into several cars to reach to the mountain we were going to climb.

The reason why I would love to drive in Japan is because of the mountain scenery.
I think it's a lot better then driving through forests and flat lands for hours and hours. As of Japan, scenery changes quite often if you go for a few hour drive.

Our final destination is Kurosawa One which is one of the highest mountains in this area.

Our plan is to go up half of the mountain with the ski lifts.
Thus we have to go to a ski resort first.

Using the washroom at the resort.
"Save Paper Pray for Japan"... okie

And on we go on the ski lift.

The problem with the ski lift is that I am scared of heights.

I was screaming for the whole time.

TOO HIGH TOO HIGH!

And after screaming for few minutes I finally got on top of the mountain and put on these snow shoes!

We all follow the leader

We were told not to go to the edge because we don't know where the ground ends.

White snow and animal foot prints.

It gets pretty hot when you walk for few hours.

And finally we reached the top!

Taking pictures of the beautiful scenery.

And then I got some apple cider to drink!
Really a priceless experience.

One of the girl started making multiple snowman.

And we sleigh down the mountain.

down down.

down down.

And her feet got caught! It took several minutes to dig it out. Pretty scary if you're by yourself.

Going back down the mountain because we can't use the ski lifts to go back down.

Haha the kids on the ground playing.

And then we went to hot spring to ease our body.

You notice that there is lots and lots of vending machine. Vending machine for hot spring tickets, vending machine for newspaper, vending machine for drinks, vending machine for everything.

And this is vending machine for milk!

It's a must for Japanese people to drink milk after hot spring.

I realllly enjoyed the contrast of snow and the hot water.

And finally the lunch we have been all waiting for (It was already 4pm)

The kids and the guys having a nice talk.

This is soba! Homemade Buckwheat noodles!
It's really healthy for you and it makes you pretty full.

And after we finished eating the noodles, we add the hot water they used to boil the noodles into the soup base.

And now we have a hot soup we can drink after the meal.

------------------

At the end, one of the guy took me to shinjuku with his car.
Thank you so much! (I cancelled my bus)

And in the car, we talked about how amazing this place is.
It really gives a chance to a lot of people to enjoy the nature and to enjoy working together with other people.
Wonderful concept wonderful place.
If anyone is ever interested in going here just shoot me a message and I will give you all the details!
