Visiting Shinjuku 2 choume, a church street like place in Japan where all the Gays/Bi/Les/ and straights go to have fun at night.
I actually wasn't expecting to go out that night because I had dance practice that day but I ended up bumping into my friends who were heading there on the way back home from the practice.
I was covered in sweat and wearing baggy pants and baggy t-shirt.
Totally not clubbing outware but decided to go because I didn't want to miss the chance!
Shinjuku really is a night city. Too many people but very lively.
I also thing shinjuku station is one of the hardest stations to navigate through.
They have like 20 platforms and gazillion neon signs.
People people people. If one person has SARS everyone will get it.
I was with around 10 foreigners and few japanese.
Both mix of guys and girls. I really doubted at first if the guys were gay or not
(none of them turn out to be gay boo).
Ate at a chain store soba/udon place.
Host club guys everywhere. Because...
I was at kabukichou! I was too chicken to take pictures of them though.
They look mean with their pointy hair and pointy shoes.
There must be 20 stores in one building or something.
And yes we finally arrived to shinjuku 2 choume. How do i know?
Look at this very gayish looking posters.
Lesbian Bar.
This was an awesome building.
Very old. Very haunting looking but they have these neon sign
and you can hear people laughing and talking.
I went into a gay bar/club ish place called. Annex.
Click on the link. Love the first banner that pops up.
"Glad to be gay!" hahaha
I got a screw driver for $5. This is pretty cheap in Japanese standerds and this includes cover. Yay!
Not many girls mostly guys.
Murakami Takashi painting on the wall!!
This is what I am talking about.
The best part of this whole place is when Lady Gaga goes on people gooo crazzy.
They really know how to dance and they have the dance moves completely memorized!
Watch the video below to get the mood :D
Lol nice post. It looks pretty tame from the pictures. I'm still afraid to go to 2-chome though lol. I've sadly been mistaken for gei enough (well in toronto neways because of my partial japanese style I guess haha)... so I'd imagine it could be pretty bad if I got mistaken over there.
ReplyDeletewesterners are embarassing

ReplyDeleteAhaha I think Japanese fashion is very metro which can make u look gay at times. You should try going! A lot of our friends who went with us on that day were totally not gay. And they didn't get hit by other guys :)
