Marketing Competition Part 2: In Kyoto

After long preparation for the marketing competition,
(read previous post)
we left Tokyo and took a train and bus ride to Kyoto/Kobe/Osaka, a region called "Kansai".

This is the toilet we used in the bus.

We arrived to Kyoto Station at 6am in the morning.
We planned to tour around Kyoto before we head to my grandma's place.

Our breakfast.

Kyoto started to light up at 7am.

This is how Kyoto Tower looks, first thing in the morning.

We took a taxi from kyoto station to our destination, Kiyomizu Dera.

On our way.

Even the vending machine fits with the scenery.

This is probably the most quietest Kiyomizu Temple I have ever experienced.

A look of the tower from the mountain.

This is a temple for love and relationship. I wanted to go and pray at this temple but it was closed. lol
SAD

And after the temple we took a trip down the hill.

Reminds me of GANTZ A lot of the stores served traditional Japanese snacks.

I love these old japanese style houses.

3D store sign.

We visited several temples on our way back to kyoto station.

Even though it was in December a lot of the leaves were still very red.

Bamboo and Japanese maple trees.

Yasaka Temple.

A little snap with my fish lens.

We then went to eat some Kuzukiri, a Japanese dessert.

Some tea.

And this is the container our kuzukiri came in.

You dip your noodles in to this very sweet sauce. Mhmm good.

And we went back to Kyoto Station.

And had dinner at my grandma's place.
More salad.

Had some cake.

And more cake.

And prepared for the marketing competition we had next day until like 5am... lol tired.

  1. Kyoto's so pretty. You're not suppose to take the taxi up to Kiyomizu Dera! You missed the whole trudge uphill for 30 minutes. =P

You're not missing too much from Jishu Jinga. I bought a charm from there and it hasn't done anything yet. Hehe.
